Our newest program will offer hands on experiences for our youths and young adults. We recognize the importance of building healthy relationships and that we cannot accomplish our goals alone. Our partnerships and collaborations build on our beliefs of working better together.

Objective: The Hawaiiana Activities will teach participants culturally grounded values that will:

1. Form the basic behavioral contract that forms expectations for relations between staff, volunteers, haumana, and their families at our learning center and at our learning sites.

2. Provide continuity between indigenous and Western ways of learning and doing.

3. Foster behaviors that promote assertiveness, responsibility, and self control.

4. Promote leadership, followership, and collective work, fostering basic civic awareness/citizenship skills.

5. Develop personal awareness of the interrelatedness between individuals, groups, and the environment within their community.

6. Value sand skills to reduce incidences of and severity of discord with peers and family members.
